Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musically inclined family on the 9th of August, 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. as well as a cousin of the singing sensation Dionne Warwick. When she was a little girl, Houston began singing professionally with the choir of her church. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mother. While the movie itself and the performances on screen were not widely praised the soundtrack album and her rendition to the Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped the charts of albums and singles for a period of time and sold over 44 million copies across the globe. That same year she married the former New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she had her only child their child Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. It was about this time when her well-documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was a daily drug user.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as both anchorwoman, reporter as well as a political correspondent.
