Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinct blend of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European events and clubs, up to at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's the name of Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician, singing and playing in the church in town. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan; it was later remixed by many producers and remains an essential part of her live sets. She has also contributed her voice to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to serve as the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine came to national notice during the four performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
