Charissa is an American Sportscaster born on May 5, 1982. ESPN analyst is hired to be a co-host on SportsNation in the year 2012. She hosted ABC's Splash together with Joey Lawrence. Thompson, who was raised and born in Seattle Washington, hosted Splash on ABC. Since her early years, she was aware that her ideal job was broadcasting. She graduated from Inglemoor High School located in Kenmore Washington. Thompson left Washington for California for the purpose of enrolment in a community college. She also gained California residency. Later, she transferred into her home institution, the University of California Santa Barbara, where she received a B.A. Law and Society, in 2004. Thompson stated that although Sports Illustrated stated she attended UC Santa Barbara before transferring from UC Santa Barbara to a California Community College, she wasn't enrolled in Washington State. Thompson was contacted by Sports Illustrated via email before she began her career as an sportscaster. They offered her the opportunity to be painted in body paint for a Swimsuit issue.
